Welcome to Cross Road Center

Sometimes life is good.

And sometimes life hurts -- no matter how hard you try to make it better.

We've all been there.

Sometimes good people find themselves facing bad problems. We all do. We believe it's easier to get unstuck, find your way, and move forward again when you have someone at your side to listen, to care, and to be there to help you step by step as you pick yourself up, start again, and press on toward the peace you long for and the goals you dream of reaching.

It would be our joy and our honor to walk with you till your road gets a little bit smoother and you know you are on your way to success again.

WHAT WE DO:

We are a mid-Michigan outpatient substance abuse counseling center in Corunna, MI (near Owosso and 30 miles west of Flint) founded in 2001.

Our services include individual, couples, and family counseling to help you when you recognize your use of alcohol, medications or a "street drug" has become a problem in your life, your work or your family and you need help from someone who cares, who will listen, who will help you get clearly in mind what your goals are, who will stand with you as you find and face what the problem really is, and who will support you in finding some new strategies, resources and tools to get you past the obstacles and on to reach your goals.

We also offer unique educational and coaching programs to help you build vital knowledge and new skills to help you be all that you can be.  [Click on the "Better Decisions" button above to learn more.]

HOW WE DO IT:

We start with what we call a "whole person concept" of counseling. That is, we keep in mind that a client is not a diagnosis or a list of symptoms, but a whole person whose problems affect him or her in many areas of life at once. So we know an approach is needed that addresses healthy thinking, family and relationship issues, emotional health, diet and nutrition, exercise, workplace problems, lifestyle balance, hurtful memories, and any other area where you need help to resist using "triggers" or temptations that keep drawing you back into problem drinking or drug abuse.

We assess how you see your world within your family and social context, look at factors that may have led to the current problem(s) and then offer counseling or educational programs to help you address these problems and their effects and go on to reach your goals.

We believe it is very important to work with you to develop a plan that is personalized to really fit you, your needs, your strengths and weaknesses and suited to help you reach your goals.

Please note that in the past Cross Road Center has had qualified and experienced mental health counselors as well. However, one has retired and another moved on to another career opportunity.

So at this time, our focus is exclusively on providing substance abuse treatment. Our treatment plans        always bring a strong emphasis on long term relapse prevention, not just on helping clients succeed at resolving current problems due to substance abuse or addiction. (This is very important!)

For those who request it, we can provide a combination of faith-based services, including Christian counseling and support for reaching a deeper level of healing, peace, harmony, meaning and fulfillment in your recovery through spiritual disciplines that can bring more truth to your awareness as we join our faith with yours.

FEES FOR ALL COUNSELING SERVICES  are based on ability to pay using a SLIDING FEE SCALE.
